Wow, it actually happened. Excuse the horrific pun, but the Melodrama is finally over. Last night, it was finally agreed upon that the New York Knicks acquired Carmelo Anthony, Chauncy Billups, and a pupu platter of Nuggets for Raymond Felton, Wilson Chandler, Danilo Gallinari, Timothy Mozgov and enough draft picks to make Mel Kiper a little excited. Let's forget for a second what the Knicks gave up to get Carmelo and start with what this means for the Knicks in the short-term and then the long-term.

Keenan Cahill & The New York Knicks
As many of you know, I am a big fan of the New York Knicks. However, I am not quite a fan of the video below. Here is a remake of the early 90s New York Knick fight song, Go New York Go! Joining Keenan Cahill, the You Tube singing sensation, are Knicks rookies Landry Fields and Andy Rautins. I would recommend to Mr. Fields and Mr. Rautins to stop hanging out with Keenan and keep working on their game.

Landry Fields At Modell's
It's time to be honest with the audience, I am a glutton for punishment. Yes, I am a New York Knicks fan. Being a fan of a 'storied franchise' that really hasn't won any championships is difficult in itself, just ask Toronto Maple Leafs fans. However, this season has been one of the most enjoyable in recent memory. Amare Stoudemire has been a fantastic free-agent pick-up, even if he is overpaid and playing on bad knees, while Raymond Felton, Wilson Chandler and Danilo Gallinari are all playing above their career norms. However, more than anything else, Landry Fields has taken New York by storm and is playing as a legitimate Rookie of the Year candidate, well any year that doesn't include Blake Superior. Anyways, the video below is just another example why my giant man-crush for Landry Fields continues to grow. Enjoy after the jump.
