So the final is set at the Women's World Cup as the United States will play Japan, the tournament's darlings and sentimental choice for the title. However, there is some business to attend to as this afternoon we will have the third place match between France and Sweden.

Fearless Predictions - Women's World Cup - Day 12

After the shocking elimination of Germany yesterday at the World Cup, honestly, anything can happen during the knockout stage. France bounced back from a goal down to beat England in penalties to win the earlier quarterfinal match. So what will happen today?

Fearless Predictions - Copa America - Day 8

The toss-up continues at the Copa America as I continue to misfire with my fearless predictions. Honestly, I have a better shot at predicting when Greece will default on their debt rather than who will win the group matches at the Copa America.

Women's World Cup Panos Power Rankings - Edition #2

With the group stages completed at the Women's World Cup, I must say I have been captivated by the tournament. The level of play has surprised me and the lack of the theatrics that mar that men's game are not on display. The three big favorites still remain in Germany, the United States and Brazil with the only surprise, if you can even call it that, is that Canada were sent home early. Of course with the conclusion of the group stage, there is only one thing left to do . . . here are the PBP Power Rankings, Edition #2.

The Most Unbelievable Non-Call Hand Ball . . . Ever

At the Women's World Cup, check out the most amazing non-call hand ball during the match between Australia and Equatorial Guinea. The original shot, from Australia's Leena Khamis, hit the post in the 16th minute and bounced towards Equatorial Guinea's defender Bruna. At that point, Bruna plucked the ball out of the air and held it with both hands, a blatant penalty. However no penalty was called. You really have to watch the video to believe it. I am still in shock.

Every team has had their opportunity to strut their stuff at the Women's World Cup and at first glance Germany and the United States have been two of the more impressive sides, while Norway and Sweden, the Scandinavian beauties, have struggled against lower-ranked opponents. Fearless Predictions - Women's World Cup - Day 3

We knew that perfection would not last throughout the entire Women's World Cup, but are we really surprised that it is the British that failed to live up to expectations. It seems like an almost annual right of summer, a disappointing British national team, but regardless it is a new day, and thus a new day of fearless predictions.

Fearless Predictions - Women's World Cup - Day 2

After achieving perfection on the first day of the Women's World Cup, there is only way to go from here . . . . and unfortunately that is down. I must say the view from the top was rather lovely. Onto the predictions.

Red & White - The Canadian World Cup 2011 Remix

After Brad Marchand's butchery of Wiz Khalifa's 'Black and Yellow' during the Boston Bruins' victory parade I promised myself that I wouldn't link to any other remixes of the hit single. However, I am not a man of my word, so it is time to give a little love to the Canadian ladies as they embark on their journey in Germany for the World Cup. Enjoy the video after the jump.
