EPL Week #5 Fearless Predictions

Another .500 week for our fearless predictions, so I am under the belief that we will assume our rightful position between average and mediocrity. Picking EPL games is really a toss-up, especially considering the rotation systems that some of the bigger teams are using in regards to their European campaigns. So without further fanfare let's get to the picks!

Stoke City - West Ham United (1-1)
West Ham are dead last in the EPL and after Stoke's victory against Aston Villa, considering manager Tony Pulis' bereavement leave, should we really expect West Ham to get anything out of this game? I believe in the Hammers, well not really, I just think they will get one point out of this game.

Aston Villa - Bolton (3-0)
So this is caretaker manager Kevin McDonald's final game in charge of Aston Villa and I believe the boys will send him off in style with a proper thumping which is more likely to happen with defensive stalwart Gary Cahill missing for Bolton through suspension.

Blackburn Rovers - Fulham (2-0)
Mark Hughes makes his return to Ewood Park as manager as Fulham and without Bobby Zamora I believe that they will struggle against a traditionally strong Blackburn team at home.

Everton - Newcastle (1-0)
Newcastle will be smarting from their loss to Blackpool and should provide a stern test for Everton away from home; Everton will score an early goal and hold on for the victory.

Tottenham Hotspur - Wolverhampton Wolves (2-1)
Spurs made a strong start to their Champions League campaign on Tuesday, but must be disappointed to only come away with a draw in their match against Werder Bremen, considering they were up 2-0 in the first half. Therefore, I believe that they will take their frustration out against Wolves and cruise to the victory.

West Brom - Birmingham (1-2)
Birmingham played extremely well against Liverpool and I believe that Alex McLeish's men will be ready for a tough derby match against West Brom. This will be a physical game, but at the end Birmingham will come away with the victory.

Sunderland - Arsenal (1-2)
I have gone back and forth on this match for the past two hours trying to find an answer as to why Arsenal will drop points at the Stadium of Light, and unfortunately for Mutaz (big Sunderland supporter) I just don't see it. Fabregas will be the maestro in the center of the park considering Cattermole's suspension for his second red card of the season.

Manchester United - Liverpool (2-2)
So Sir Alex rested a lot of players in their midweek match against Glasgow Rangers while Liverpool also rested Gerrard and Torres for their Europa League match against Steaua. Therefore, everyone will be raring to go and I see the game ending in a draw.

Wigan - Manchester City (0-2)
Wigan dropped points to Sunderland, especially since the Black Cats were down to 10 men for the majority of the match and they will come out strong against Manchester City, however I see City holding off the early barrage and scoring two goals to claim the three points.

Chelsea - Blackpool (4-0)
Chelsea have had the easiest beginning to their domestic campaign in ELP history, honestly, they have yet to play a team of any pedigree. The goals will flow and another three points for the early table toppers.

OVERALL RECORD
19-21
