EPL Week #9 Fearless Predictions

Small steps towards respectability I believe is the key here as another sub .500 week for our fearless predictions, leaves us 10 games under .500. There is hope, I believe, because really how low can we go. Well this week does offer some tasty match-ups and with all the Rooney hoopla now behind us, let's just focus on the games and of course, onto the picks after the jump!

Tottenham - Everton (2-0)
Spurs were taught a footballing lesson at the San Siro in Champions League play and I fully expect them to bounce back in this game against the Toffees. On another note, Gareth Bale is phenomenal!

Birmingham City - Blackpool (2-2)
Blackpool have been playing some inspired football recently and really should of gotten something out of their game against Manchester City, their run will continue with another point at Birmingham.

Chelsea - Wolverhampton (3-0)
To all the Wolves fans out there, and you know who you are, just do not bother watching this game as Chelsea should coast by at least three goals.

Sunderland - Aston Villa (1-0)
I was surprised that Sunderland could not grab a victory against Blackburn who were playing with ten men for the much of the second half, and I see them bouncing back with a victory courtesy of a Darren Bent strike against Villa.

West Brom - Fulham (1-1)
This game has draw written all over it, especially given Fulham's injury concerns and West Brom's ride back down to earth after their draw at Old Trafford.

Wigan - Bolton (1-2)
I see Bolton grabbing the three points courtesy of Kevin Davies, and especially after Wigan's late collapse against Newcastle I just do not see it happening for them.

West Ham - Newcastle (2-0)
There it is . . . . yup, I am doing it, West Ham to grab all three points against Newcastle in this week's upset special, not really much of an upset, but had to make it sound better than just betting on a home victory.

Stoke - Manchester United (0-2)
Fresh off Wayne Rooney's new contract, he will lead the Red Devils to a victory away to Stoke, oh wait, he is injured, umm still three points for Manchester United.

Liverpool - Blackburn (2-0)
David Ortiz and Kevin Youkilis should hit back to back homeruns for the Liverpool Red Sox in their victory against Blackburn . . . . oh, they are not playing baseball you say.

Manchester City - Arsenal (1-2)
These are the types of games that will decide who will chase Chelsea for the Premier League crown, and I just believe that Arsenal will be up for this game against Manchester City, although Tevez and Silva have both been on form. Just going with hunch that Fabregas will be too much at the end.

OVERALL RECORD
35-45
