Brazil - Venezuela
Brazil, the prohibitive favorite at the Copa America, should begin their title defense with a comfortable victory against Venezuela. While the attacking flair of Neymar, Pato and Robinho will carry the load for the Brazilians, I fully expect the defensive partnership of Lucio and Thiago Silva to be rather strong.

Paraguay - Ecuador
Ecuador are using this Copa America to rebuild for the next round of World Cup qualifying after failing to reach the World Cup in 2010. On the other hand Paraguay will be looking to build upon their quarterfinal appearance from the World Cup with a strong Copa America. This should be tight affair with Paraguay nicking the winner at the end.
