Fearless Predictions - Copa America - Day 14

The two favorites fell on Saturday, will the favorites fall on Sunday in the second day of quarterfinals at the Copa America? Brazil take on Paraguay while Chile play surprise package Venezuela. Let's take a look at these match-ups in greater detail with another edition of fearless predictions.

Day 14

Brazil - Paraguay

Brazil, similarly to Argentina, have struggled in the group stages at the Copa America. The key is if they can turn it around in comparison to Argentina who succumbed to Uruguay in penalties. Brazil need to shore up their defense if they have any chance of repeating as Copa America champions. Allowing a couple goals to Ecuador is inexcusable. Paraguay have been buoyed by the form of forgotten man Roque Santa Cruz. The problem is can they control Brazil's attack?

Brazil - Paraguay (3-1)

Chile - Venezuela

Chile and Venezuela have both been playing fairly well at the Copa America and the final quarterfinal offers a test for two teams with very different playing styles. Chile are an attacking juggernaut coming at you in their famed 3-4-3 formation. Venezuela, on the other hand, focuses on the defensive side of football and for a South American team, that is quite rare. I am going to go with goals and for a Chilean victory.

Chile - Venezuela (3-2)

Fearless Predictions
7-13
