Fearless Predictions - Copa America - Day 7

In the tournament of randomness known as the Copa America, favorites become underachievers and underdogs become world-class footballing nations. To be honest, I am way too confused to even offer any form of a decent analysis of what has been the first six days of the tournament. At this point we are rolling the proverbial dice and banking on some good fortune to come our way.

Day 7

Uruguay - Chile

Both Uruguay and Chile attack with reckless abandon and this match could be an instant classic if the offensive firepower actually comes into play during the match. However, the Copa America has been anything but offensive football, so really should we expect this game to be any different, we can only hope. Uruguay disappointed in their first match against Peru while Chile rallied against Mexico. Therefore, I am going with form and Chile to win by a goal.

Uruguay - Chile (2-3)

Peru - Mexico

In my opinion, the winner of this game will book their place in the knock-out stage. While Peru played very well against Uruguay I do not believe that they have the talent to put back to back games of excellent football together. Even though Mexico brought a youthful squad to the Copa America they should be able to outlast Peru.

Peru - Mexico (0-1)

Fearless Predictions
2-6
