EPL Round #4 - Fearless Predictions

Forecasting the EPL is akin to predicting the weather. No one has the faintest idea of what is going on. There should be a direct correlation between predicting rain and whether Arsenal can get an away victory. Regardless, week after week, many bloggers, websites and sports journalists give their two cents on this week's matches. We might as well join in on the fun. Here are the fearless predictions for Round #4 of the EPL season.

Arsenal - Swansea (3-0)
The time is now for Arsene Wenger and Arsenal because a disappointing result in a home match against a newly-promoted club will quickly raise the warning levels at Emirates Stadium to def-com 15. However, the panic begins to subside as the Gunners cruise by three goals.

Everton - Aston Villa (1-1)
I was listening to the 'Men in Blazers' podcast on The Grantland Network when an interesting point was made. Did you know that Everton have not signed a new a player in almost three years? Yes, they have brought players on loan and promoted youth players, but they haven't paid a transfer fee in almost three years. These types of financial difficulties will continue to hamper Everton moving forward.

Manchester City - Wigan (3-0)
The goals keep flowing for the boys in blue from Manchester. I fully expect a Tevez cameo is all on the cards as Dzeko and Silva continue their rich form for the billionaires from Abu Dhabi.

Sunderland - Chelsea (1-2)
With rumors circulating that Asamoah Gyan will miss the match for Sunderland, I don't see where the Black Cats muster the firepower to properly threaten Chelsea's goal. Look for Juan Mata to influence proceedings for Chelsea as they manage to score one more than their hosts.

Wolves - Tottenham (1-1)
So Spurs are languishing near the bottom of the table, while Wolves are undefeated and in position for a place in Europe. It must be early in the season. However, the Wolves continue their undefeated start to the season by managing a draw at home to an injury-hit Spurs side.

Stoke City - Liverpool (0-1)
Even though Peter Crouch has signed for the perfect set piece team, he will not be able to get on the score sheet on his debut as Stoke crumbles to high-flying Liverpool. If Liverpool can find a way to get Carroll going, they could possess a serious threat to the boys from Manchester.

Bolton - Manchester United (1-2)
United have made a blistering start to the season, by not only scoring goals at a blistering pace but also by integrating young legs into the side in the form of Welbeck, Cleverly, Smalling and Jones. Bolton continue their murderous start to the season with another match against a heavy hitter and like the games before, they won't manage to steal a point.

Norwich City - West Brom (2-2)
To successfully predict the outcome to this match is just like predicting the weather, you really don't have a clue. So just like a good weatherman, I predicting a chance of rain with sunshine. In a nutshell, that means a draw is on tap.

Fulham - Blackburn (2-0)
Bryan Ruiz begins his Fulham career with a goal as Fulham are able to withstand the chicken vendors from Blackburn. Honestly, I cannot think of a poorer decision that Blackburn's decision to fire Sam Allardyce midway through last season.

QPR - Newcastle (2-1)
The revolution at Loftus Road continues with three points against the Magpies. Shaun Wright-Phillips is the catalyst for QPR as they grab their first victory of the campaign.

Fearless Predictions
14-15
